\nA few tidbits: this October, the U.S. Board on Books for Young People will be holding a Regional Conference<\/a> at the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature in Fresno, featuring a number of local California writers as well as international authors. I wish I’d known about it earlier!<\/p>\n

And, speaking of children’s literature events and other book festivals, if you’re looking for lists of such things, check this post on Chris Barton’s website<\/a> and this Read.gov list of book festivals by state<\/a>.<\/p>\n
