Whoa.<\/p>\n<p>Google <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/holidaylogos.html\" target= _blank>always has awesome<\/a> ways to celebrate special days, and I&#8217;m just really stoked that Mr. Carle, who is eighty this year, has had his special day. Who knew &#8212; a hopeful story that started from the inspiration of a hole puncher turns into this great little tale about a small, soft thing that ate and ate and ate, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then &#8212; <i>whoo!<\/i> &#8212; changed. And flew.<\/p>\n<p>Simply lovely, and a nice choice for the first day (theoretically) of Spring. Friends tell me they woke up to snow this morning in New York, so&#8230; um&#8230; well, it&#8217;s coming. Theoretically.<\/p>\n<p>Poetry Friday today is at Elaine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/wildrosereader.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/poetry-friday-roundup-is-here.html\" target= _blank>The Wild Rose Reader<\/a>. I just discovered Elaine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/politicalverses.blogspot.com\/\" target= _blank>Political Verses<\/a> blog, and am chuckling. An interesting way to vent! In iambic pentameter!<\/p>\n<p>For everyone who has slogged and stumbled and finally made it to Spring Break, congratulations!
