Here&#8217;s just a few of the numerous reasons why:<\/p>\n<p><b>Four Most Awesome<\/b><br \/>The most hip short thing of the year so far &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/bookshelvesofdoom.blogs.com\/bookshelves_of_doom\/tbr-tallboy.html\" target= _blank>Leila&#8217;s &#8216;zine<\/a>. Or, TBR Tallboy, as we should really call it. I&#8217;ve often whined about my desire to include some of my short fiction in an anthology &#8212; and how hard it is to get into one of those without an editor being sure of your talent and your saleability &#8212; and how sad it is that there&#8217;s so little space for YA shorts in the publishing world. And now, there&#8217;s a place for the stories that I like to read! <a href=\"http:\/\/bookshelvesofdoom.blogs.com\/bookshelves_of_doom\/2009\/01\/more-on-tbr-tallboy.html\" target= _blank>Check it out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four brilliant writers share their ways to shape the new year &#8212; two by encouraging people to actually, <i>write<\/i>, as with Hip Writer Mama&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/hipwritermama.blogspot.com\/2009\/01\/2009-new-year-30-day-challenge-starts.html\" target= _blank>30 Day Challenge<\/a>, and Robin&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/robinbrande.com\/uncategorized\/my-2009-challenge-to-aspiring-authors\" target= _blank>challenge to aspiring authors<\/a> &#8212; and the other two with objects. <a href=\"http:\/\/justinachenheadley.blogspot.com\/2009\/01\/vision-boarding-101.html\" target= _blank>Justina&#8217;s vision boards<\/a>, and Sara&#8217;s gifts which remind her to <a href=\"http:\/\/saralewisholmes.blogspot.com\/2009\/01\/so-thats-what-time-looks-like.html\" target= _blank>stay in the moment<\/a>.
