{"id":185,"date":"2016-11-15T03:56:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-15T03:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/writingya.com\/?p=185"},"modified":"2018-11-20T05:44:38","modified_gmt":"2018-11-20T05:44:38","slug":"elsewhere-around-kidlitosphere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/writingya.com\/?p=185","title":{"rendered":"Elsewhere Around the Kidlitosphere&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I haven&#8217;t been producing a lot of new content (or stringing together coherent sentences) over the past week, so instead of a regular blog post I thought I&#8217;d do a quick roundup of other online stuff I&#8217;ve been doing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I donated to the <a href=\"http:\/\/sierraclub.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sierra Club<\/a> (trying to pay it forward with positivity helped me feel better);<\/li>\n<li>I did some light redesign on the <a href=\"http:\/\/guyslitwire.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Guys Lit Wire<\/a> site (more exciting developments to come in the near future); and, last but definitely not least because it was really fun to do,<\/li>\n<li>I posted a bunch of cool reviews on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/blog\" target=\"_blank\">Cybils blog<\/a>! Here are some MG and YA books which I really want to go check out:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/2016\/11\/review-the-princess-in-black-and-the-hungry-bunny-horde.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Princess in Black and the Hungry Bunny Horde<\/i> by Shannon Hale<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/2016\/11\/review-salt-to-the-sea.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Salt to the Sea<\/i> by Ruta Sepetys<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/2016\/11\/review-dark-energy.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Dark Energy <\/i>by Robison Wells<\/a> (thanks, T!)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/2016\/11\/review-ms-bixbys-last-day.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Ms. Bixby&#8217;s Last Day<\/i> by John David Anderson<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybils.com\/2016\/10\/review-the-bronze-key-audiobook.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Bronze Key<\/i> by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Cybils blog is always such a great resource for finding new reading material (NOT that I ever have trouble finding new reading material), and I love having a mandated opportunity to go around and read a ton of different kidlit blogs and check out books in categories that aren&#8217;t my usual go-tos.<\/p>\n<p>Welp, that&#8217;s about all I can manage for today.
