The funny needs rest.<br \/>Anyway, a few links: some more <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.timesonline.co.uk\/tol\/arts_and_entertainment\/books\/article4019605.ece\">sad news about Terry Pratchett<\/a> came my way via a friend&#8217;s blog. If, like me, you need cheering up after reading that, you might like to try your hand at <a href=\"http:\/\/saralewisholmes.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/what-procrastination-looks-like.html\">baking a cake<\/a>. Or perhaps spend some time coming up with <a href=\"http:\/\/acephalous.typepad.com\/acephalous\/2008\/05\/characters-disc.html\">humorous new names for your characters<\/a>. Or, like me, you might derive some amusement from the latest <a href=\"http:\/\/gurneyjourney.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/art-by-committee-stones-bark.html\">Art by Committee<\/a> sketches (I haven&#8217;t had time to participate for a couple of weeks, but I&#8217;ve sure been enjoying other people&#8217;s contributions).<br \/>I&#8217;m definitely planning to represent for FW at the <a href=\"http:\/\/kidlit08.blogspot.com\/\">Kidlit Bloggers&#8217; Conference<\/a> in a few months, and I&#8217;m so excited to see the list of folks who are planning to go. I can&#8217;t wait to put names to faces for those bloggers I haven&#8217;t met face-to-face at other conferences yet. I&#8217;m not planning to go to SCBWI LA this summer (it just didn&#8217;t grab me this time, and it seems like an every-other-year kind of thing for me), so this will be my fun networking event for the year.
