But then a neighbor fills J.J. in on a secret — time stands still in the faery realms… and she knows just how to get to them. J.J. may be the only one determined enough to enter faery and remember what he’s been sent to do — but to do so, he has to vanish from his own life. And when J.J. vanishes… into Kinvara comes The New Policeman<\/a> <\/p>\n

At first, this novel seems unlikely for a fantasy candidate, but little by little the magical is revealed. A fun and quirky tale, this book won both the Whitbread Children’s Book Award and the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize. Enjoy!<\/p>\n
