Bush did NOT win this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/news\/articlenews.aspx?type=oddlyEnoughNews&#038;storyid=2007-12-11T160715Z_01_L1178781_RTRUKOC_0_US-ENGLISH-1.xml\">Foot In Mouth Award<\/a>. But in other news, &#8220;w00t&#8221; was Merriam-Webster&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/news\/articlenews.aspx?type=oddlyEnoughNews&#038;storyid=2007-12-14T024757Z_01_N12562781_RTRUKOC_0_US-LANGUAGE.xml\">word of the year<\/a> after an online vote.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>My mom sends me some great links, like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futureofthebook.org\/\">Institute for the Future of the Book<\/a>, which does research to chronicle the shift from printed page to screen. <\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>In fact, if it weren&#8217;t for my mom, I wouldn&#8217;t know about Scholastic&#8217;s purported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/12\/18\/books\/18scho.html?ex=1198731600&#038;en=8d6ea30ebf998a73&#038;ei=5070&#038;emc=eta1\">successor to Harry Potter<\/a>, The 39 Clues.
