The first part is <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.leeandlow.com\/2014\/06\/19\/ask-an-editor-worldbuilding-in-speculative-fiction-part-i\/\" target= _blank>here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The School Library Journal has continued the conversation about diversity in children&#8217;s lit. Ellen Oh&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slj.com\/2014\/06\/opinion\/debate\/diversity-ufd\/diverse-books-dont-categorize-as-special-interest\/\" target= _blank>piece on not ghettoizing<\/a> diverse books into some isolated &#8220;special interest&#8221; zone makes some good points. Make sure you read Cyn Leitich Smith&#8217;s piece on writing outside your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slj.com\/2014\/06\/opinion\/debate\/diversity-ufd\/write-outside-your-comfort-zone\/\" target= _blank>comfort zone<\/a> as well. <\/li>\n<li>Twelfth Planet Press has announced that coming in August they have a YA speculative fiction collection out. Authors include Karen Healy, Jim C. Hines, Garth Nix, E.C. Meyers, and more faves. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsignal.com\/archives\/2014\/06\/table-of-contents-kaleidoscope-diverse-ya-science-fiction-and-fantasy-stories-edited-by-alisa-krasnostein-and-julia-rios\/#comment-142261\" target= _blank>Hat tip to SF Signal<\/a>. <\/li>\n<li>Is it just me, or is it a fab week for speculative fiction collections?
