Author: aquafortis

Sarah Jamila Stevenson is a writer, artist, editor, graphic designer, proofreader, and localization QA tester, so she wears a teetering pile of hats. On any given day, she is very tired. She is the author of the middle grade graphic novel Alexis vs. Summer Vacation, and three YA novels, including the award-winning The Latte Rebellion.

Behind the Facade: Paper Towns

Margo Roth Spiegelman: Runaway. Daredevil. Legend. And Quentin Jacobsen–classmate, neighbor, geek-at-large–is in love with her. Sure, they’ve been friends since they were kids. But…

Toon Thursday: Behind the Scenes

Okay, so this is really a shameless attempt to cover up the fact that I don’t have a new cartoon to post today. Truly,…

Succumbing to Peer Pressure

Thanks to the challenge issued by the Disco Mermaids, I’m forced to post this fuzzy-lensed, chin-posed-pertly-on-fist monstrosity. I’m not sure what the deal is…

Toon Thursday: Back on the Writing Track

After last week’s detour into politics, I’m back on track again with a writing-related cartoon–this one pertaining to craft, since we’re going to discuss…

Fall into Mystery: Gratz and McClintock

These reviews first appeared on Guys Lit Wire. Call it a Whodunit x 2. Or perhaps a Two-dunit. Or even a Who-DUO-nit. Okay, maybe…

Toon Thursday, Plus Neil x 2!

And now for something completely different…This is a historic moment. The reason is twofold (or should that be “the reasons ARE twofold”?). Firstly, though…

Who We Are

Wonderland started in 2005 as a collaborative space for our writing group to share news, links, book recommendations, and thoughts on writing for young adults.

Through various iterations, we've still held to our core vision, finding Wonderland, and sharing our discoveries.

We blog to hear ourselves think, in a crowded field, and a busy social-media laden world. We blog to create a corner of community, and hope you feel welcome here.

Click the links to discover more about what makes us who we are and about what we do. You can also visit Tanita on her official author site, and aquafortis on her official author site.

NB: as per the FTC Guidelines for blogging and endorsements, Finding Wonderland hereby states that unless otherwise stated (such as, if we get it from the library or buy it ourselves), readers should assume that every book reviewed on our site is provided to the reviewers by the publisher or the author free of charge or obligation. Please click here for our book review policy.
