TURNING PAGES: SILVERBLIND, by TINA CONNOLLY

I absolutely adored Ironskin by Tina Connolly, found Copperhead a mite disturbing, with its inhabited faces and blindly privileged ladies, and wasn’t sure where…

TURNING PAGES: HOW TO FALL, by Jane Casey

Summer reading – this is a shove-it-in-your-beach-bag book for sure. A quick, non-demanding novel which will leave you feeling a little leery, and carefully…

TURNING PAGES: HOOP DREAMS by Lorna Schultz Nicholson

Hello, Sports Fans! It’s the dog days of summer… well, the puppy days, anyway, and sports are what’s on the telly. Sports are what’s…

TURNING PAGES: THIRTY SUNSETS, by Christine Hurley Deriso

This is necessarily going to be a short book blurb. It’s hard to review a book like this one, where so much of what…

TURNING PAGES: A CREATURE OF MOONLIGHT, by Rebecca Hahn

This is an unusual YA novel. I’m quite a bit in favor of the cover — the deeply colored night sky, the swirls of…

TURNING PAGES: BIG FAT DISASTER, by Beth Fehlbaum

“The truth is not always pretty. It can be disturbing, enraging, and enlightening. I found my way out of Hell by choosing Truth, and,…

CYBILS REVIEW: The Cadet of Tildor, by Alex Lidell

This book is a 2013 Cybils YA Speculative Fiction nominee. Let’s think together a moment: what is it that makes a Tamora Pierce novel?…

TURNING PAGES: THE COBWEB BRIDE, by Vera Nazarian

Gather round, children, gather round, with sugar skulls clutched in your wee sticky hands. ‘Tis El Dia de los Muertos and have I got…

Indie Spotlight: Light & Shadow, by Moira Katson

This book, released in April of this year, so eligible for The Cybils this year – was a good snag – and reminded me,…

Who We Are

Wonderland started in 2005 as a collaborative space for our writing group to share news, links, book recommendations, and thoughts on writing for young adults.

Through various iterations, we've still held to our core vision, finding Wonderland, and sharing our discoveries.

We blog to hear ourselves think, in a crowded field, and a busy social-media laden world. We blog to create a corner of community, and hope you feel welcome here.

Click the links to discover more about what makes us who we are and about what we do. You can also visit Tanita on her official author site, and aquafortis on her official author site.

NB: as per the FTC Guidelines for blogging and endorsements, Finding Wonderland hereby states that unless otherwise stated (such as, if we get it from the library or buy it ourselves), readers should assume that every book reviewed on our site is provided to the reviewers by the publisher or the author free of charge or obligation. Please click here for our book review policy.
