TURNING PAGES: THE HIDDEN BLADE, by SHERRY THOMAS

I’ll admit that I’m not familiar with this author’s more popular work in the historical romance genre. I ran across this book on NetGalley…

TURNING PAGES: TOAD WORDS AND OTHER STORIES, by T. KINGFISHER

I make a pretty solid effort not to over-feature self-published and indie published books which are SOLELY ebook offerings, because I’m still a fan…

TURNING PAGES: SIX FEET OVER IT, by Jennifer Longo

We are in the final lap of summer, but this is one book you’ll be able to savor on into autumn. It’s a perfect…

TURNING PAGES: THE GOBLIN EMPEROR by Katherine Addison

We at Wonderland are big fans of SF Signal. They’ve been a go-to site for all things SpecFic, “Skiffy” and other wise SF/Fantasy for…

Reading in Tandem: “The Lost,” by Sarah Beth Durst

It’s bits of ephemera — a favorite song that popped into your head like a mini-book soundtrack, who you think would be best as…

TURNING PAGES: The Oversight, by Charlie Fletcher

Readers familiar with Charlie Fletcher’s STONEHEART trilogy will be unsurprised that his new novel, THE OVERSIGHT, is a crossover. Marketed to all general audiences,…

TURNING PAGES: THE LAST WILD BOY, by Hugh MacDonald

This novel reminds me of Lois Lowry’s THE GIVER, Margaret Atwood’s THE HANDMAID’S TALE and, peripherally, BUMPED by Megan McCafferty. It has echoes of…

TURNING PAGES: Coaltown Jesus, by Ron Kortege

Ever since STONER & SPAZ, I’ve been a fan of this author’s work, and when he made me cry reading poetry about baseball, of…

CYBILS REVIEW: Man Made Boy, by Jon Skovron

This book is a 2013 Cybils YA Speculative Fiction nominee. So, I’ve been thinking I’d like to put up a small monument to Jon…

Who We Are

Wonderland started in 2005 as a collaborative space for our writing group to share news, links, book recommendations, and thoughts on writing for young adults.

Through various iterations, we've still held to our core vision, finding Wonderland, and sharing our discoveries.

We blog to hear ourselves think, in a crowded field, and a busy social-media laden world. We blog to create a corner of community, and hope you feel welcome here.

Click the links to discover more about what makes us who we are and about what we do. You can also visit Tanita on her official author site, and aquafortis on her official author site.

NB: as per the FTC Guidelines for blogging and endorsements, Finding Wonderland hereby states that unless otherwise stated (such as, if we get it from the library or buy it ourselves), readers should assume that every book reviewed on our site is provided to the reviewers by the publisher or the author free of charge or obligation. Please click here for our book review policy.
