I made an apple-blueberry crisp last night — what was I thinking? I should have made a pie!

True. Or that stuff you make baklava with, but it's not as puffy. Phylo? Anyway. We're crazy busy around here, so cooking is minimal – I actually ate cold cereal FOR BREAKFAST, which is just shockin' – and baking is a weekend thing, if at all. I have big plans to make SOUP today – the sort where you bodge all the wrinkled veg in the pot and leave them simmering for hours… yeah, that's about my speed right now.
