TURNING PAGES: The Cryptid Files #1: THE LOCH NESS MONSTER, by Jean Flitcroft

In 2008, on a dreich and gloomy morning, I went sailing on Loch Ness. I about DIED of the excitement. We were going to…

TURNING PAGES: CEMETERY GIRL: The Pretenders, by Christopher Golden & Charlaine Harris

Despite the fact that we’re big fans of graphics here in the Wonderland treehouse, I generally leave the book-talking of said graphics to Aquafortis….

TURNING PAGES: A CREATURE OF MOONLIGHT, by Rebecca Hahn

This is an unusual YA novel. I’m quite a bit in favor of the cover — the deeply colored night sky, the swirls of…

TURNING PAGES: PROPHECY, by Ellen Oh

So, I sat down to prep for reviewing a book that I have coming from the library when I realized I’d never reviewed its…

TURNING PAGES: BIG FAT DISASTER, by Beth Fehlbaum

“The truth is not always pretty. It can be disturbing, enraging, and enlightening. I found my way out of Hell by choosing Truth, and,…

TURNING PAGES: BLUE GOLD, by Elizabeth Stewart

This is an important book. I’m hesitant to use the word “worthy,” because that sounds earnest and a little uncomfortable, but — that is…

TURNING PAGES; THE WITCHES BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION, II, by Richard Capwell

Well, you all know I can gush some about a book. REALLY gush. But, the pleasure of happening across a self-published gem like WITCHES…

TURNING PAGES: THE LAST WILD BOY, by Hugh MacDonald

This novel reminds me of Lois Lowry’s THE GIVER, Margaret Atwood’s THE HANDMAID’S TALE and, peripherally, BUMPED by Megan McCafferty. It has echoes of…

TURNING PAGES: LIGHTS OVER EMERALD CREEK, by Shelley Davidow

I’m always on the look out for more science fiction – real science fiction – for young adult readers. Finding science fiction with a…

TURNING PAGES: ONI THE LONELY, by Jamie Brazil

Humor is really hard to define. For instance, I don’t consider myself a funny person. I cannot tell a joke to save my life….

Who We Are

Wonderland started in 2005 as a collaborative space for our writing group to share news, links, book recommendations, and thoughts on writing for young adults.

Through various iterations, we've still held to our core vision, finding Wonderland, and sharing our discoveries.

We blog to hear ourselves think, in a crowded field, and a busy social-media laden world. We blog to create a corner of community, and hope you feel welcome here.

Click the links to discover more about what makes us who we are and about what we do. You can also visit Tanita on her official author site, and aquafortis on her official author site.

NB: as per the FTC Guidelines for blogging and endorsements, Finding Wonderland hereby states that unless otherwise stated (such as, if we get it from the library or buy it ourselves), readers should assume that every book reviewed on our site is provided to the reviewers by the publisher or the author free of charge or obligation. Please click here for our book review policy.
