CYBILS F/SF: Partials, by Dan Wells

One of the rare straight SF novels of the Cybils season (not that rare overall, but this year has some better science than last,…

CYBILS F/SF: Seraphina, by Rachel Hartman

As I was trying to think what this book reminded me of, I realized it nothing less than a medieval mystery. The detail of…

CYBILS F/SF: MM9, by Hiroshi Yamamoto

Dear Television, I don’t watch you anymore. You disappoint me constantly. You misspell Sci-Fi to something dumb like “Sy-Fy.” You’re unreliable and you cancel…

CYBILS F/SF: AND ALL THE STARS, by Andrea K. Höst

Oh, Publishers. You need to look at this self-pubbed author, and at this book. LOOK HARD. Movie people, LOOK HARD. That is all. Reader…

CYBILS F/SF: MATT ARCHER, MONSTER HUNTER, by Kendra C. Higley

Written by a woman who can channel the voice of younger teen guys, this novel says “Boyhood Dreams” all over it. I loved the…

CYBILS F/SF: SHADOW AND BONE by Leigh Bardugo

I love Mysterious Orphan stories; they’ve been some of the most successful in modeling the Hero/ine’s Quest. Like Superman, Lyra, Harry Potter, and all…

CYBILS F/SF: Erebos, by Ursula Poznanski

I read a Cybils book the other day wherein the villain was so clearly and easily identified that I lay the book down in…

CYBILS F/SF: SHATTER ME, by Tahereh Mafi

Fair warning: this is a bewildering review. It’s for a book that makes no sense to me with the cover it has, with a…

CYBILS F/SF: THE CHAOS, by Nalo Hopkinson

Another week, and another unique novel. After Leila so strenuously recommended Enchanted, I figured I had pretty well done my “every-fairytale-you-know-stuffed-in” plot for awhile….

CYBILS F/SF: KILL ME SOFTLY, by Sarah Cross

And in answer, YES, I do have that wretched song armor-plated to my brain, thank you Roberta Flack, Fugees, et al. It’s a fitting…

Who We Are

Wonderland started in 2005 as a collaborative space for our writing group to share news, links, book recommendations, and thoughts on writing for young adults.

Through various iterations, we've still held to our core vision, finding Wonderland, and sharing our discoveries.

We blog to hear ourselves think, in a crowded field, and a busy social-media laden world. We blog to create a corner of community, and hope you feel welcome here.

Click the links to discover more about what makes us who we are and about what we do. You can also visit Tanita on her official author site, and aquafortis on her official author site.

NB: as per the FTC Guidelines for blogging and endorsements, Finding Wonderland hereby states that unless otherwise stated (such as, if we get it from the library or buy it ourselves), readers should assume that every book reviewed on our site is provided to the reviewers by the publisher or the author free of charge or obligation. Please click here for our book review policy.
